Ironhold Dominion

Ironhold Dominion asks you to think like a quartermaster, not just a general. You expand a settlement, route resources along supply lines, and defend against raids that get smarter the longer a map runs. It's slower than most mobile strategy fare, and I mean that as a compliment.

The thing that clicked for me was logistics. Overextend your borders and your army starves before the enemy even arrives. Learning to pull back and consolidate turned my early losing streak into a comfortable rhythm. The AI opponents actually probe your weak points, which kept me honest.

The interface is dense at first and the tutorial could explain the supply mechanic better — our full guide covers that. Push past the first couple of maps and there's a genuinely clever game here.
