Legends of Slots: a beginner's guide to completing your first collections

April 8, 2026 · Markus Lindqvist

When I first opened Legends of Slots I assumed I'd understand it in ten seconds, and mostly I did — but the collection system has a bit more going on than the one-button spin suggests. This guide is the thing I wish I'd read before my first hour.

The core idea is simple: every spin can drop symbols that belong to a themed set, like the pirate collection or the mythic beast collection. You're trying to complete a full set to unlock its story card and a fresh visual theme. The trick is that some symbols appear more often early on, so lean into whatever set is filling up fastest instead of chasing everything at once.

My advice for new players is to ignore the overview screen for a while and just spin until you've finished one complete set. Seeing that first theme unlock makes the structure click far better than any tutorial text. After that, you'll naturally start noticing which symbols you're short on and plan around them.

It's a calm game, and I think it's best played in short bursts. I kept it on my second monitor during work calls, tapping between tasks. Treat it like a casual collectible and it's genuinely pleasant; treat it like something to speedrun and it'll feel thin. Lean casual and you'll enjoy it more.
